“What she had realized was that love was that moment
when your heart was about to burst.”
― Stieg Larsson
I’ll admit that I am a sucker for fancy and lavish wedding reception venues. The bigger the venue, the better. It just makes you want to photograph every detail. Every nook and cranny. Especially if it’s one of those venues where it has a historical significance. But part of being a wedding photographer is not just basking in and photographing just the pretty things. The moments in between that you can capture during the couple’s wedding is pretty much why couples hire you. So be it a wedding in a beautiful mansion or a simple garden wedding, you have to approach every aspect the same way. Kacie and Matt’s backyard wedding was nothing short of amazing. Their wedding was held in a beautiful house nestled in the hills with DIY details adorning the backyard. From the decorations to the entertainment, the wedding felt really personalized and really captured their personalities as a couple. But I think the most important aspect of their wedding is the intimacy of it all. The closeness of it all really brought people together. And nothing brings together friends and family more than lining up for a burger. Burger Truck = WIN. Enjoy the photos!
