“For some people, “the point of no return”
begins at the very moment
their souls become aware of each others’ existence.”
- C. Joybell. C

Summer. The kids are out of school. We could all finally sleep in. And photo shoots are happening almost every weekend. Which is a good thing but consumes most of my PTO. But for the most part I welcome the summer like I welcome a new co-worker. A mix of excitement and trepidation. Although I love shooting weddings, shooting them in 100 degree is what I don’t like. Sure the days are long and you can shoot portraits till the wee hours, but the heat. Oh God that California heat. It’s one thing to be hot, but to feel hot and to have sweat coming out of every orifice is something I abhor.

But thank God for Marla and David’s very chill and relaxed garden wedding that it made the summer heat more tolerable. And thank God for that room with all that natural light flooding in that it made their post ceremony portraits easy and serene. And thank God for Leslie and her team for making the whole wedding run smooth like butter melting in the ground during summer. See? Here I go again.

Anyways, enjoy the photos!
